National issues seen through the lens of San Francisco's restaurants
San Francisco has the most restaurants per capita in the nation, and the food industry also employs almost 10 percent of the city's workforce.
Food City is a project which aims to look at the restaurant industry in San Francisco as microcosm of the US, reflecting the nation's most challenging issues. From immigration to health care, incarceration to gentrification, critical discussions take place within the walls of the city's restaurants daily.
